Great job explaining the objectification theory model and providing examples to make it clear. A real “hook” for the importance of this topic is the negative press Facebook has been getting recently about the internal documents leaked indicating the negative impact of Instagram on teen girls. If one person’s gaze can contribute to problems such as eating disorders, I can only imagine how detrimental social media really is!

Hi! I really liked the visuals that you used in your presentation. It helped me better understand the correlation between the objectification theory and eating disorders. Do you think there is a reason that objectification impacts women more than men, or is it just more sexualized for women which makes it more obvious?
