    Thank you for covering this important topic, Mary! It is not something I have heard a lot about, despite the dangers of SAM.

    You shared the scary statistic that 20% of fatal automobile accidents involve drivers who were using both alcohol and marijuana. When someone dies in an accident, a toxicology report is typically done. But what about motorist who are pulled over who have not been in an accident? Law enforcement has ways to measure a person’s alcohol levels if the driver is pulled over, but marijuana is harder to test. Do you think some people may be testing below the limits for alcohol, but we’re missing their level of impairment due to SAM?
